MUSIC CONCERT IN CRC KABALA.

NOVEMBER 2017 UPDATE
NOVENMEBR 2017
UPDATE FROM SIERRA LEONE.
“After they had heard the king, they went on
their way, and the star they had seen in the east went ahead of them until it
stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed….”[Mathew
2:9-10].
As the
yuletide approaches, May we all see the star of the savior in our lives, and
filled with the joy of the season.
MANTY AND JOSEPH GOT MARRIED: It was a thing of great joy for the
church, parents as one of our youth member Manty S Marah got married to Bro.
Joseph Turay. The ceremony took place Saturday October 28. ,Manty is an active
member of the youth in our Church and Joseph is a member of, The Door Christian
fellowship Church all Kabala. Our prayer
for them is God’s blessings in their new home.
GOSPEL MUSIC TRAINING FOR THE CRC
YOUTH CHOIR: With
the support of the CRC –N Wukari as well
as Abuja, two gospel artist came from Nigeria to have fellowship and training
for our choir group. It was a moment of learning and sharing of knowledge for
both. Lordswill K.Angulu and Samson S. Bonku. On Sunday November 12, we had a
music concert with other churches in Kabala attending. Glorious songs were sung
to the glory of God and for the edification of the congregation. The CRC Kabala
choir presented gifts of cultural dress to our guests Samson and Lordswill.
YIRAHFILAYA BADELA CHURCH: Besides the Music training, it was
also time for Samson and Lordswill to visit one of the churches being supported
by the CRC-Nigeria in building an auditorium for the people in Yirahfilaya
Badela. The building is roofed, windows and doors fixed. We hope we will be
able to get money to do the floor and the plastering soon. We thank God it
survived the rains for this year. The trip to the village was without the
normal challenges of the road, especially that there are trucks moving timbers
from these villages and are being shipped to China. It’s a big challenge in many
African countries these days. Our four wheel car got into the mud; it took us almost two hours to get
out of the placeC courtesy of some youth in the nearby village. See pictures below:
A NEW CHURCH IN MEDINA VILLAGE: Medina is a predominant Muslim
settlement as in many villages within Koinadugu . Medina is named after one of
the religious towns in Saudi Arabia. Following the intervention of CES in the
community in providing a grain store and also planning to provide a rice
milling machine, the community requested for the Church since there are some
people there who are not Muslims , and few too who have heard the gospel
preached to them. So on Friday November 3 we visited to share the gospel with them.
There is the willingness to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and savior.
First worship on 12th Nov. the attendance was 30 and on 20th Nov.
forty [40]people came to worship. They
are presently meeting in a classroom for Sunday worship. Below is a picture of
the grain store under construction and also some of the villagers who gave
their lives to Jesus as the Savior.
THE NEW CLASS BUILDING AT KCSS: Great work is still ongoing at the
Kabala Christian School new classroom building, the wall height on the first
floor is completed, in the next two weeks, the decking for the first floor will
be done and the second floor will soon come on. Thanks to the donors from NA.
The completion of this building will surely brings smiles in the heart of the
people of Koinadugu , as there will be conducive learning environment for their
kids and wards.
CRC-SL APPOINTS NEW ACCOUNTANT: On November 18 the leadership of the
church interviewed applicants who applied for the position of an accountant.
The present Accountant in person of Mr. Joseph m Jawara will be retiring on
December 31, having reached retirement age. The new accountant hire is Miss.
Sarah Kanu. Sarah has a Master degree in Banking and Finance, a graduate of
Northampton University in the UK. She will start work January 2018.
YES I BELIEVE. Every day it pleases the Lord to call
people into the faith. On Sunday Nov.19 it was another harvest of souls at the
CRC Church in Kabala as four young people from the Muslim faith gave their
lives to Jesus Christ. The two Girls Elizabeth Mansaray and Elizabeth Marah
came to church on Sunday November 12 when the choir had their musical concerts,
following the training by our guests from Nigeria. The songs touch their lives
and they decided to become Christian. In some countries or community, one can
identify who is a Christian probably by the Biblical names or sometimes English
name they bear. But In Sierra Leone that is not the case, like in the name of
the two girls” Elizabeth”. They are many Elizabeths and Mary etc who are either
Muslims or non Christian. So to have
Elizabeth coming from the Muslim faith should not be a surprise.
Beside the
Elizabeths we also have Fada Jabbie and Mohammed Koroma , who confess and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord
and Savior .
SHALOM RADIO: We really thank God for the radio
ministry, one of the programs at the radio is the morning devotion and prayers
at 6:00am follow by greetings where listeners call to greet their love ones.
Many people including Muslims call every morning to express their Joy on how
the program is helping them. Beside this there are other programs that talks
about the community, family, kids, Education, health, farming and etc. Indeed
if we are able to get a bigger transmitter we will reach a wider audience who
will hear the gospel morning and evening. Should we get a 1500 watts
transmitter, it’s estimated to reach at least 15,000 to 20,000 audience. Our
songs are a gospel that gives moral lessons.
THE MULTIPURPOSE BUIDING: The story is yet to change from what
I reported last Month, but we are still trusting God that the funding will come
and we will complete these Building. The good thing about this building is
that, when it’s completed and occupied, we will be saving $8500 from our annual
budget to be use in the ministry. That will mean no longer paying rent for our
offices. Help us to achieve this. Your kind donation will be highly appreciated.
The second phase of the building includes a training space. It’s a two storey
building, which the first floor is complete structurally but we still need to
do the finishing work. Also we did the concrete of the second floor, with some
bricks [1500] on ground to commence the next floor. The third phase is the sanctuary
building which will be use for conferences and church meetings. We finished the
foundation and the concrete slab.
Beloved whatever donation, please contact the
Grand Rapids office of Resonate in USA or the Burlington office in Ontario
Canada. Brethren in Nigeria who will like to donate please contact the CRC-N
Headquarters office in Takum , Taraba state.
God bless
you as you give for the furtherance of the Kingdom work in Sierra Leone.
PRAYER REQUEST:
1. Thank God for the Shalom radio, staff
and volunteer of the station as well as the listeners.
2. Pray that we will be able to get the
funding for new transmitter for the radio.
3. Pray for fund to complete the
building projects.
4. Pray for Manty and Joseph that God will bless
their home.

6. Pray for safety as will be going to
Nigeria on Nov.27
7. Please continue to pray for peaceful
election in Sierra Leone. Comes March next year.
8. Pray for our new accountant Miss.
Sarah Kanu, for wisdom to do the work.
9. Pray for Mr. Joseph Jawara who will
be retiring at the end of the year, that God will bless him and give him
strength even in retirement, and for a smooth transition.
10. Pray for the new church planted in
Medina village.
11. Pray for our new converts Elizabeth
Marah, Elizabeth Mansaray, Mohammed Koroma and Fada Jabbie , that they will
remain faithful in their new found faith and salvation.
12. Pray for all the staffs at the
schools and the students as they will soon be going for the Christmas break
that God will be with them all. Pray for too for the successful completion of
the classroom Building at the KCSS.
CONCLUSION: I want to thank you all for your
supports, we will be going to see our kids next week, we appreciate what the
Lord is doing here through your supports. Please do not get tired may the good
Lord bless you all.

OCTOBER 2017 UPDATE
OCTOBER 2017 UPDATE
FROM FROM SIERRA LEONE:
“So that Christ may dwell in your hearts
through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in Love , may
have power together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high
and deep is the Love of Christ, and to know this Love that surpasses knowledge
that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God” ( Ephesians
3:17-19, NIV).
The year
2017 is almost coming to an end as we have just about two months to go for the

if the resources are available. The third phase which is the auditorium shall
be used for worship, training and meeting centers for the church. We are
estimating about $34,000 to $40,000 to finish the whole work and if possible

SEPTEMBER 2017 UPDATE
SEPTEMBER 2017
UPDATE FROM SIERRA LEONE
“ Do not work for food that spoils, but for
food that endures to eternal life, which the son of man will give you. On him
God the father has placed his seal of approval”[john 6:27 NIV].
To God
Almighty be praised for ever for his grace and his seal of approval for the
ministry work of the Church in bringing souls to Christ, a people who were in
darkness and have now seen the light of Christ. Glad to bring to you happenings
in the Month of September here in Sierra Leone.
SADNESS AND JOY:
It’s sad to loss a young people especially those that died at very young
age. Finah Jalloh came to the faith not too long ago from a typical Muslims
family. Finah through her friend Elizabeth accepted Jesus Christ as her
personal Lord and savior, attending our Church and became a member of the youth
fellowship for her Spiritual growth. Behold one Sunday afternoon after a brief sickness
that she suffered for a week which resulted to a stroke even at a tender age of
twenty, she was then called to be with the Lord.
Yegbeh
Jalloh the Mother of Finah seeing the Love shown to Finah by the church unto
the time of her burial decided to become a Christian. She said, “ I have seen
great love by the Christian they are indeed the people of God , I will better
follow their way so that when I died I will see my Daughter Finah”. From Sept.
3rd to this day Yegbeh has not stop coming to the Church every
Sunday. Heavens rejoice over the repentance of a sinner. Though we missed Finah
Physically, But God has replaced Finah with the Mother. Finah is now in the blossom
of our Lord in Heaven, Praise is the name of the Lord.
NEW CONSULTANT FOR CES: Following the completion of term for
Mr. Andrew Gwaingmin who was the Consultant for the Christian extension service
[ CES] and his subsequent return to Nigeria about three Months ago, a new
Consultant was hired by Name Daniel L Frissen. Daniel was here for two weeks
visiting the various communities where CES have worked and still working as
well as familiar himself with the Staff. It was like a kind of home coming for
Mr. Frisssen , Because his Parents had worked in Sierra Leone as a Doctor in
Lunsar many years ago. His Surname rings bell of memories for those who knew
Frissen Senior back then such like Mr. Joseph Jawara. Mr. Frissen has since
returned to Canada and hoping to return soon.
Mr. Daniel L
Frissen during one of the Sundays service in Kabala CRC , was introduced to the
Congregation by the Administrative officer of CES Mrs. Maraima Charlie Bangura
SCHOOL
RE-OPEN : September 11 see the
reopening of schools in Sierra Leone to begin the 2017/2018 academic year. The
Kabala Christian secondary and its primary school counterpart saw the influx of
students, staff and parents to usher in the new school year. The principal and
the head teacher of the school kick start the school year with a Spiritual
retreat for both the secondary and primary school teachers, to prepare them for
the work at head.
Also a great
development has started in the school campus with the construction of a block
of six classrooms for the art stream of the school. Initially the school, was
mainly offering science subjects, but due to consistence pleads of the
community on the need to add another stream, the donors/ partners graciously
accepted that. So this new school year the first set of the art class will
begin. To caution the challenge of Classroom space, a new construction has
begun, the foundation work started.
MEDIA MINISTRY[SHALOM FM RADIO
KABALA]:With God all
this are possible if he approves and seal no body can say no. per my previous
update on this ministry, nobody had thought of it coming this way. It was not
in our budgets and it’s never being there. Today it’s a different story all together.
The Shalom Fm radio, a Christian Fm station has finally come to Kabala. The
antenna was installed, equipments etc were all installed, we did the first test
transmission .CRC Shalom Fm radio was on air on September 6. With a test
transmission on FM 104.9 But finally the regulating body of private media in
Sierra Leone as well as the Telecommuncation agency of the Government has given
their approval and a frequency was allocated to Shalom radio. Our Frequency is
now 93.5 FM. We will be broadcasting from 6;am to 2:00pm , break for two hours
and then resume at 4pm till midnight every day. People can now listen to gospel
music, sermons, and Biblical teachings. Every day with God in the Morning and
then evening devotion before retiring to Bed. The People are so excited about
this new development. The Gospel is being preached , un-church people listened
to the word of God morning and evening , edifying songs are played , local news
are broadcasts , What a blessings to the growth of the kingdom of God in Kabala
a Muslims dominated community very receptive to the word of God.
You can be a
blessing to us.
Presently we
have but a small transmitter of 300 watts, there is need for us to get a
1000watts, for a wider coverage. Also we need at least USD1000 every month to
pay for the few staffs and a stipend [transportation needs] for our cultural
volunteers and reporters.
You are
encouraged to share with us this joy of the media to preach the gospel, either
buy for us a 1000 watts FM radio transmitter or assist us with any amount to
help us pay for the few staff and stipend for the volunteers.[You can send your
donation via Resonate Global mission office in Grand Rapids USA, or Burlington
Office in Canada , for those in Nigeria you can send to CRC-N headquarters in
Takum it will surely reach us . God bless you].

he uses all kinds’ of abusive languages against Christians and Christianity.
One pastor reacted in preaching against Islam in his Church in Freetown and it
did not go down well with Some Muslims faithful. So there was tension in
Freetown but the government was able to control the situation. Pray for
Christian to have the heart of being patience even in the midst of provocation
as the Bible teaches.

AUGUST 2017 UPDATE
AUGUST 2017 UPDATE
FROM SIERRA LEONE.
Q97. “Is God
your personal father?” … “Yes, God is my Father because of Jesus Christ. That
is why I trust him. I am certain that he gives me whatever I need for my body
and soul. He brings good out of my difficulties because he is my all powerful
Father.”
NEW CONVERTS: The catechism question 97 of the I
belong to God booklet sum it all when brother Kamara , his wife and daughter
all gave their life to Jesus on August 6 at the CRC –Kabala congregation .
Having the assurance that they are now children of God, and he is a father that
will protect them and care for them in the midst of rejection and mockery from
family members.
MUDSLIDES AND FLOODS KILLS HUNDREDS:
It was so terrifying
and heart breaking on the early hours of Monday August 14, “after a night of
torrential rain, entire hillsides have collapsed into fast moving mud in and
around Sierra Leone’s capital, Freetown”. According to reports about 500 people
lost their lives some were buried alive in the mud, some washed away into the
Ocean. It was a gory site when I visited
the scene of the incident on August 18. Thousands are now left homeless, and
hundreds are buried underneath the Mud. I could not hold my tears seeing the
level of destructions and hearing the testimonies of survivors, especially when
I was told that the place I was standing used to be people’s homes and they may
have been buried alive. We were still talking and wondering how it all happened,
Suddenly one of the rescue team found a body part buried in the mud, and they
pull it . Koinadugu district suffered most of the casualties compared to other
districts. Its estimated that Koinadugu lost about two hundred people , Neini Chiefdom a lone lost 89 people.
MULTIPURPOSE BUILDING: W e give thanks to God, the first
phase our building is now completed which is ready to be used for the Shalom
Radio. We have also concrete the floor of the third Phase which is the Church
auditorium. Trusting God that as soon as Fund is available we will begin to
raise the walls of both the second and third phase. I have included pictures of
the buildings as they stand at the moment.
Meanwhile on
the radio, as reported last, the independent Media commission [IMC] of Sierra
Leone, have so far given their approval, we are still waiting for the
Frequency, which is delayed because of some bureaucracy of the government
offices. We are very hopeful to get that soon, as we have met all the necessary
requirements.
APPRECIATION : Thank you all for your constant prayers
and supports, we appreciate it so much . Please we continue to depend on your
prayers as well as your financial support, to help us move on with the work.
Resonate Global Mission is always there to accept your supports and as you
designate to any project for Sierra Leone, especially the building projects and
the radio.
PRAYER REUESTS:
1. Continue to pray for the victim of
the Freetown Mudslide.
2. Pray for the country as they struggle
with this natural disaster. In 2014 it was the Ebola and this year is the
Mudslide.
3. Pray for Children and staff , as
School will be reopening for the new academic session on Sept.11,
4. September 1 and 2 we will be
conducting interview for both volunteers and staff of our radio station. Pray
for wisdom and God’s guidance. So far 81 people have applied and we need just
four staff with six volunteers.
5. Thank God for Rev. Alpha Moses Kargbo
, he is improving in his health challenges.
